Overview
A short way out along the Luang Nam Tha road, Pengtavy sits with its lovely carved wooden exterior, above Panda Restaurant. The area is quiet, and backs onto rice fields and water lilies. Be warned, however, that a number of construction sites are springing up in the area, so the quietness may not last for long.

A small shared balcony out the front overlooks local construction sites, but the view is pleasant enough, and it is possible to get meals from the restaurant served up there.
