Overview
The foyer area of this guesthouse has been converted into a Lao style disco. Barely separated from the other half of a large room, there are boards on the ground to designate a dance floor, and the walls are lined with booth style heavy sofas. It looks like the perfect place for prosperous Lao men to sit and sip their Johnny Walker. It was hard to tell on our last visit if it actually gets regular usage. The rooms at Phaykham are pleasant and clean with a few pieces of furniture, fan and grubby bathouroom with western toilet and hot shower.
